GIVE Feature Alert: 2026-04-17
April 18, 2026
This release includes a mix of feature enhancements, workflow improvements, and bug fixes that continue to strengthen how users interact with data inside GIVE.
Feature/Workflow Enhancements:
- Improved map symbology for address points – We refined address point symbology to make warnings and critical issues easier to distinguish visually and more consistent across the application.
- Layer tab tooltips – We added tooltips to layer tabs giving users clearer context and guidance while navigating core data layers. This is particularly helpful as we transition to NENA data model 6.3.
- Search and zoom to reference layer features – Users can now search by reference layer attribute and zoom directly to the matching feature, making research and map navigation faster and more intuitive.
- Boundary Analysis – A pre-release version of inter-layer validation and correction such as emergency service boundaries not broken at intersections.
- Feature services – have now been added to the Layer Controller under the Analysis tab, helping users work more effectively across operational layers.
- Sampling and performance improvements – Sampling logic has been redesigned which resulted in a visible performance gain when spatial filter is engaged.
- New validation guardrails for required location fields – When creating new road centerline records, GIVE now prevents users from populating certain operational fields before Country, State, and County are entered first. This helps preserve data quality earlier in the editing process.
Bug Fixes
- New road centerline parity values – Parity values entered during creation of a new road centerline weren’t carrying forward properly into the Data Tab.
- RCL flip digitized direction – Fixed to transpose attribute left/right functionality
