GIVE Feature Alert: 2026-06-04
June 4, 2026
We’re excited to announce a new set of GIVE feature improvements designed to make NG9-1-1 GIS review, editing, and issue resolution workflows faster, clearer, and more effective.
Here are the highlights in this update:
ENHANCEMENTS
Domain-to-Content Switch Threshold Parameter
This user configurable parameter is now defined in terms of percentage relative to the layer’s row count. The default value is 0.1%, meaning that a data layer can transition from the domain state to the content state when the domain errors are less than 0.1 percent of the total number of rows in the layer.
Improved Long Bone Issue Review
GIVE now elevates long bone cases, also known as FS7 issues, to a critical error level. Long bone issues can indicate a significant spatial relationship problem, especially when an address point fishbone extends an unusually long distance to its corresponding road centerline.
To help users better understand the cause of the issue and determine the appropriate correction, GIVE now provides additional supporting information when zooming to and hovering the cursor over a long bone issue, including:
- The length of the bone in miles
- The SSAP fishbone column values
This added context is intended to make it easier for users to determine whether the issue is caused by an address point placement problem, an address point or road centerline attribution issue.
Faster Attribute Filtering
Users can now set an attribute filter directly from the data grid context menu. By right-clicking on a value within a field, users can choose the option to add that value to the current filter.
This improvement makes it significantly faster to isolate records that share a common value without manually building the filter from scratch.
Expanded Road Centerline Split Tools
The zero-out range function currently available in the Auto Split tool within the Analysis UI has now been added to the standard Road Centerline Split tool.
This gives users a more consistent editing experience when splitting road centerlines and managing address ranges.
BUG FIXES
- Corrected a minor bug in Plan View.
- Included miscellaneous minor bug fixes and non-apparent code improvements to support overall system stability and performance.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support and trust GIVE.
