Enhancing Legacy Sync UI for MSAG Management – Part 1 of 2
March 25, 2025
We’ve introduced significant updates to the Legacy Sync UI, making MSAG validation, synchronization, editing, development and reporting more intuitive and efficient. These new enhancements improve range management, record visualization, dataset synchronization and editing workflows, ensuring seamless integration with public safety systems.
Key Enhancements in the Legacy Sync UI
1. Adjacent MSAG Record Depiction
The Sync RC User Interface now displays adjacent MSAG records, allowing users to visualize range relationships and quickly identify discrepancies.
Selected (gray) & adjacent (yellow) MSAG records with range overlap. Range overlap (olive green).
2. Improved RCL Segment Association
Users can now view and manage the relationship between Road Centerline (RCL) segments and MSAG records, ensuring proper alignment and data accuracy.
3. MSAG Record Splitting for Left/Right Parity
A new function allows users to split MSAG records that originally represented both sides of a road into separate left and right records.
Vertical split replaces original record with two new MSAG records, i.e. Left and Right.
4. Flipped Range Detection (Hatched Pattern In Sync RC Visualization)
When an RCL segment’s from-to address ranges are flipped, it is now visually represented with a hatched pattern, as depicted in the Sync RC, making discrepancies easy to detect.
5. Rapid RCL Feature Location, Selection & Editing
Users can now quickly select and edit specific RCL features, streamlining the process of range adjustments.
