As an Arizona NSGIC (National State Geographic Information Council) member, Dr. Bo Guo attended the NSGIC Midyear conference in Salt Lake City, Utah in late February 2018.
Bo co-presented “Enhancing the Arizona Address Data Management Ecosystem” with the state delegate members Jenna Straface, Gene Trobia, and Howard Ward.
The presenters provided a brief overview of the Arizona Address Management ecosystem and discuss several of its key components:
- Data governance and project support in a changing state environment;
- EMAP, an interactive collaboration and authoritative crowdsourcing platform for address maintenance;
- A3i, an AI-based web address parser and geocoding application contributing to the consistency, quality, and efficiency of address geocoding and maintenance; and
- AZGIV, an ambitious online address, and submission and integration system.
