Once again, Gistic actively participated in the annual AGIC (Arizona Geographic Information Council) conference held on September 23-25, 2016 in Prescott, Arizona.

Gistic presented EMAP application in the NG911 track. EMAP is the acronym for Emergency Management of Address Portal, a cloud-based application jointly developed by Terrasystem Southwest and Gistic Research for the State’s 9-1-1 Program.

Gistic also joined with Brian Pont of Safe Software in hosting the “Getting Started with FME” workshop. FME is a powerful Geospatial ETL platform for GIS professionals.

Finally, Dr. Guo gave a lightning talk on data visual analytics beyond GIS, urging GIS professionals to embrace non-spatial visual analytics.
