Marketing Assistant – Part-Time

Gistic Research is a small startup company based in Tempe, Arizona, providing GIS/IT integration services and products.

We are seeking a resourceful, motivated person to help develop and maintain our company’s presence on the web. Working for a small company is not for everyone – it can be challenging, often requiring you to “wear many hats.” And full disclosure: we don’t yet offer health benefits. The primary role of this position is to serve as a member of the Marketing team, responsible for creating and implementing internet/email marketing strategies for our products and services; incorporating social media tools in our marketing efforts; maintaining the company website; and assisting with the development of printed marketing materials as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field, and one or more years experience in internet and email marketing.

This position requires:

  • Experience with internet and email marketing strategies, including social media
  • Experience designing printed marketing materials
  • Basic skill and experience with web content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Django, etc.

The following are not required but would be helpful:

  • Prior experience in the technology field
  • Graphic design experience
  • Sales experience
