Administrative Assistant – Part-Time

Gistic Research is a small startup company based in Tempe, Arizona, providing GIS/IT integration services and products.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated person to help with some of the day-to-day administrative tasks in our office. Working for a small company is not for everyone – it can be challenging, often requiring you to “wear many hats.” And full disclosure: we don’t yet offer health benefits. The primary role of this position is to serve as a member of the Administration team, responsible for answering phones; basic bookkeeping, such as tracking and filing expense receipts; creating invoices; reconciling bank statements; general filing; making travel arrangements for staff; and assisting with HR-related tasks such as preparing job announcements and job descriptions.

The ideal candidate for this position should have some college-level coursework, and three or more years experience performing administrative duties.

This position requires:

  • Experience performing administrative tasks to include phone answering, general bookkeeping, filing, travel planning, and word processing
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Good oral and written communication skills

The following are not required but would be helpful:

  • Prior experience in the technology field
